Pick and Place - A SMT Placement System incorporating an advanced drive System. It has 3 cameras – one for programming and fiducial correction, one “on the fly” for correcting simple components (0805 etc) and one fixed, vision correction camera, for placing the complicated parts (fine pitch IC’s etc). Also includes multi-user off-line Windows programming software (Gerber, Scan) and PC.
Our machine was built in 1996. We purchased it after it had been fully re-furbished (by VSMT) in 2004. It’s run successfully here for just over 2 years, so successfully in fact that we’ve now had to replace it with a much larger, faster machine. It has been regularly serviced and cleaned since we have had it.
This pick and place machine is rated at just over 4000cph and can take up to 80 8mm parts. The machine will place all taped and reeled parts, IC’s from tubes, also parts from waffle trays and even pieces of cut tape.
The machine is still fully supported by VSMT, they can provide full servicing and all parts. The large range of feeders are also still freely available, either from VSMT (fully re-furbished) or from the second hand market. There are a lot of RV’s operating in the UK, we’ve found that the second hand market is still pretty vibrant.
We are selling this pick and place machine with 8 feeder banks in total. There are five 8mm feeder banks, each with 10 x 8mm lanes, 1 with 5 x 8mm and 3 x 12mm lanes, 1 with 3 x 12mm and 3 x 16mm lanes, and a Vibratory feeder that will hold up to 10 IC tubes. It’s also complete with all 5 of it’s placement nozzles. I will consider selling the feeders separately, though I would rather sell the system as a whole.
I’m looking for offers upwards of £10000 for the machine and all feeders. This will get you a flexible pick and place machine that’s quick and easy to set-up and program, and that’s complete with enough feeders to place 55 8mm parts, 6 x 12mm parts, 3 16mm and up to 12 different IC’s. It’s a machine that’s fully supported by a successful UK company with a large stock of spare parts. We’ve found the running costs to be very low, we’ve also found it very reliable, as it’s relatively simple operation means there’s very little to go wrong. It has a small footprint (5 feet x 3 feet) and is fully mobile, as it sits on castors.
We can ship the machine and feeders within the UK on a pallet, or it can be transported easily with a van.
